Software obtainable freely, easily from ROLI without requiring device registration.*While many software-dependent controller devices – like the NI Maschine series, UAD-1, or any computer-dependent Roland product - aren’t good second-hand buys because of the impossibility / inconvenience / imposition of accessing the requisite companion software – ROLI’s long-term support a decade following release is satisfactory, encouraging and puts to shame larger, established titans of the electronic musical instruments.

Sliding one's fingers up and down the length of Seaboard Block's smooth, silicon keywaves is all about connecting your sense of touch to the sounds produced. This feels great, to me, on the 'white' keys - but the 'black keys' aren't so satisfactorly
